In 2011, Natalie bought a Groupon for a local barre class on a whim. After one class, she was hooked. After taking classes consistently for a year, she was asked to get certified and jumped at the opportunity. As a former Kindergarten teacher, she had a passion for teaching. In 2012, she became a BarreAmped instructor, and found her true fitness niche. After becoming certified, she taught studio classes for six years.
In 2018, she began teaching barre at The Edge Fitness Clubs, a fitness club with multiple locations along the East Coast and Midwest. At Edge, Natalie realized there was a need for a total body barre class for clients of varying abilities. In search of a new barre method she could share with her growing group of followers, Natalie found Barre Intensity online. Natalie loved all the elements of a Barre Intensity class and became a Master Trainer in 2018. Natalie brought the Barre Intensity platform to her Edge following and has trained dozens of new instructors to date.
During COVID in 2020, Natalie became Edge’s go-to online instructor for barre, as her classes were broadcast live on social media. The virtual instruction was so successful, that Natalie continues to record virtual barre classes for Edge’s Total Access Live platform on a weekly basis.
COVID also brought about a different way to learn about the Barre Intensity technique- live online with a master trainer. Natalie loves to connect with trainees all over the world and teach them the foundational skills to become a successful barre instructor. She continues to lead the Live Online Comprehensive Training for the US.
Natalie received her Group Exercise Certification through the Athletics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA). She continues to teach, mentor, and train instructors in barre. She currently teaches several barre classes a week and is also certified in Les Mills CORE. She is a member of the Barre Fitness Alliance.
She currently lives in New Jersey with her husband Ryan and three children- Stella, Luca, and Sienna.
